Just then I saw the mitten lying in the freshly fallen snow. As I was going
to pick it up, I gasped. I looked in the mitten. Inside I saw a furry friend. It
had a long snout, slanty eyes, bristly fur, horseshoe ears, big bushy tail,
clawed feet and white fur on its belly. Five minutes later I heard a squeak. I
brought the furry creature home. I took off my mitten - it was a
