Haiku Poems

In February we studied about the Olympics, countries of the world and Japan. We are learning about Haiku and Tanka Poems. A Haiku is a Japanese lyric poem that has three lines. The first line has five syllables, the second has seven syllables, and the last has five syllables. The Tanka is a Japanese lyric poem that has five lines with five, seven, five, seven, and seven syllables. The poem doesn't rhyme and usually is about nature or the seasons.

Birds
