            Diversity without division – diverse but one: the award winning Pocantico Hills Central School District’s infinite variety is its source of strength and renewal, its inspiration for change and continuity.  From this celebration of diversity comes a unique pattern that is the Pocantico Hills Central School District.

            The Pocantico Hills educational system is strong, dynamic and distinctive.  Its fundamental goals focus on teaching and learning, gaining and increasing knowledge, holding high standards for all children, developing and extending skills that are prerequisite to effective future learning.  We strive to provide an education that will enable each child to grow and flourish intellectually and socially. 

            We are very proud of all that is accomplished and what our students attain.  But make no mistake-we have vital work to do in making sure we continue implementing the State’s learning standards, in preparing our students for district and state assessments and integrating technology as an instructional tool in our curriculum.

            Our faculty, administration, staff, students and parents share an educational vision and commitment to excellence that resonates in all aspects of school life.  The significant support we receive from parents and community will always be crucial to our success and vitality. 

            To promote continued confidence in our public school system and extend partnerships among parents, community and schools, we publish the Pocantico Hills Central School District Calendar.  This document provides important information about our schools and gives dates for our Board of Education meetings and school events.

            Throughout its history, the Pocantico Hills Central School District has been a place where intense effort and the attainment of established goals occur routinely.  During the 2008-2009 school year, we are determined to preserve and extend our record of achievement while prudently continuing to manage our financial resources.
