Amelia was born in 1897 in Kansas. Amelia Earhart was America's greatest woman pilot. When she was 11 years old, she never knew that airplanes would change her life forever. When she was a woman she wanted to fly around the world she started her trip in 1937 with a man named Noonan. A month later, Amelia's plan crashed and she never saw Howland Island No one ever heard from them again.
