A Portrait of
Rosa Parks
by Christian

Rosa Parks was born on February 4, 1913. She lived in Alabama. She lived with her mother and a brother and her grandparents. She liked to listen to her grandmother's stories. Rosa went to a bad school because black people didn't have the same rights as white people. Rosa Parks grew up and went on a bus and wouldn't move to the back when a white person got on the bus. She got arrested. Black people protested with her for their rights. She became friends with Martin Luther King, Jr. and they worked together for the rights for everyone.
