A Portrait of
Paul Revere
By Danny Co.

When Paul was a young boy his house was next to the harbor. A lot of ships sailed in and out. He always wanted to know what kind of job he was going to have when he grew up. He skated and fished. One day his father said, "You're thirteen years old and you have to choose what you are going to do, work with me or work on the ships. He decided to work with his dad as a silversmith. One day he found out that the church needed boys to ring the bells. So he got his friend and they rang the bells. When he was older he was a dentist and he even gave new teeth to George Washington. Paul had something more important to do. In 1773, three English ships loaded with tea came into Boston Harbor. The English said the Americans would have to pay taxes for tea. Paul Revere and other people said American should be free. He rode his horse around the towns because he saw the British coming and he warned the Americans by calling out "The British are coming!"
