A Portrait of
Wilbur and Orville Wright
By Tomislav

Wilbur was born in 1868. Later Orville was born in 1871. They were born before radios and TV's were invented, so they read a lot of books and made toys for themselves. When they grew up, they made many gliders. Then the next plane had a motor. On the 17th of December 1903, the plane was ready for take off at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. It flew for 12 seconds. They kept on making bigger and better airplanes until Wilbur died in 1912. After Wilbur died, Orville made more airplanes. He died in 1948.
