1937 was a year of new and different ideas. Many new structures were opened and
built such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Route 66, and the Hoover Dam. Some new
things from the 1930's are still here today such as SPAM. Things that happened
in 1937 have and
forever will affect the history of the United States; for example, the
Hindenburg crashed and exploded into a fiery mass of material and ignited
gasses. Although, other lighter events such as the debut of "Bugs
Bunny" occurred as well. 1937 was a year of invention and innovation but
what made this year really outstanding was that even in the midst of the depression all of these wonderful things were
produced.
