In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday in February, our Kindergarten students
embarked upon a special author’s study. In their classrooms they
participated in various activities surrounding the classic children’s books.
They read his stories and discussed how he made fun rhymes and invented silly
characters. In art class we had a great time creating beautiful and exciting
colored pencil drawings of rhyming stories and one of a kind creatures! We
studied his illustrations and the children were motivated by his entertaining
images. I hope you all have as much fun with their work as they did!
