The Third Floor Bedroom
By Seher

One day I was sleeping in my third floor bedroom. I heard something flapping softly. A big yawn came from my mouth and I woke up. One white bird was coming off the wall. I thought it was 3-D. My heart was racing so fast. I closed the window thinking that the bird will stay on the wall. The bird got angry and started flying everywhere. The bird was bumping on the window. I got scared. I opened the window again it made a cracking noise. As soon as possible the bird flew away. I let the white bird go. Then I went to my mom and said mom! Mom! I just saw a bird coming off the wall. My mom said "It's just your imagination." So I tried to prove it to my mom but when we got back up to my room everything appeared to be normal. It was the weirdest thing ever! "I told you it was your imagination," she said. I began thinking to myself. I wondered how the bird got back on the wall. I got it! It must have been when I opened the window for the second time. The little white bird flew through the window and came back home while I went downstairs to call my mom. While I was in my room sitting on my bed the bird suddenly began to come off the wall again. I know what I'm going to do with this tricky bird. This time I am going to close that window. I am going to let the bird go so I can prove to my mom that it is not just my imagination. The same bird came off again. I let the bird go and called my mom again. I took my mom's hand and pulled her into my room and we both saw a big empty space left on my wall! My mom apologized for what she said to me.  From that day on my mother no longer doubts what I tell her and it makes me feel good to know that I have her trust.
