The Third Floor Bedroom
by Samantha

It all began when someone left the window open in the best hotel in Hollywood. It was early morning and mist was entering my room through my window. The warm wind blew gently against my skin. I looked at the wall and one of the doves from my wallpaper was missing! I went outside and was about to lock the door when there was a sudden flutter that came from inside my room. "What was that!" I cried. "I must be dreaming," I told myself. Before I could do anything the flutter got louder and faster. I quickly turned around. Still nothing there. "I-I d-definitely heard that," I stammered. I kept watching. Then I saw what made the noise. "Oh my gosh!" I screamed. The noise was a bird coming off my bird wallpaper! I rushed into my room and for some reason there were two birds flying around my room. When they saw me they flew on my shoulder. I thought they would peck at me but they didn't. I played with them all day long. They became my new best friends. I played with them everyday. But after a few weeks they turned back to regular pictures again. I hoped the birds would come back again. I waited and waited but they never did.
