The Canoe

      Jack and Nick's dad said that they had to go and clean the lake. When they were walking down to the lake their tree house eerily loomed above them. The darkness of the late night made it creepy. The air was dry and the grass was wet. When Jack and Nick got to the lake the boys saw a silvery and sparkly canoe float out of the fog. Jack swam out in the freezing icy water and started pulling in the canoe. When he reached shore again the brothers shivered as they looked inside. It looked like a zombie who was wearing a wetsuit. He also had a fishing pole for an arm, had a fish in his hand and a blue and green fishing hat. the brothers thought he moved! Suddenly the zombie jumped out of the canoe and the siblings darted like cheetah's. In the distance they could here the zombie racing towards them. Jack and Nick were halfway up the hill when Nick tripped over a rock. Jack helped him up and up and quickly peered behind him. Nick saw the zombie running away also. Then the boys bravely walked over to the zombie and cautiously asked him if he was a zombie. He said he was not a zombie and his name was Sendon. He explained that he had fallen asleep when he was fishing. The boys invited Sendon to their house and Sendon grilled the fish that he had caught that day and the family and Sendon had it for dinner.
