Philadelphia, PA February 27, 1787 Dear Members of Congress,
The first problem is that each state is printing their own money. It is hard for traders to trade goods from state to state because they can’t use New York money in New Jersey. To fix this problem the country can print one currency. Congress can’t make laws to keep order. Congress can’t do this because nine out of thirteen states have to agree on a law. Another thing Congress needs is someone to carry out the laws. This problem must be fixed so what you need to do is make two other branches of government to interpret and carry out laws and instead of nine out of thirteen change it to seven out of thirteen. The third main problem is that the government can’t pay soldiers or other countries. Congress won’t be able to pay American soldiers and soldiers from France that fought in the Revolutionary War. The government also won’t be able to pay future debts if they continue not paying taxes. To fix this we must make people give taxes, don’t give them a choice If you don’t listen to what I am trying to my warning, you must think about the future .There would be thirteen separate counties instead of one superior country .We must come together to change this country for the citizens that will come after us. Sincerely,
