Revolutionary War

Class 4L has been studying the Revolutionary War and its time period for many weeks. In the process the children have identified the causes and effects of the war, and have seen the dedication and sacrifices many people made in order to earn freedom and give birth to a new country.

To learn more about these people, the students chose a person they wanted to learn more about. Next, they chose a book to read and then wrote a report describing what they learned.

This report required three parts. Part one, asked the students to describe the character’s appearance and special qualities. Part two, had them tell about an adventure he or she may have had. Finally, part three had the students invent an adventure that they thought their character might have been involved with. You can read our reports below. We dressed as our character and gave reports to the class. It was great!
