My Life with a Wave
By Andrea

On a hot steamy day I was laying on a towel on a beach in Croatia when I saw small gentle waves drifting onto the beach. I knew I must take a walk and sit at the water's edge. The sand felt smoochy when I walked across the bright beautiful place. When I went into the water, I felt the sand being washed off my tiny toes. Those interesting looking waves were so gentle I decided to take one home in my sand bucket to show everybody.

It was very hard getting the wave in my bucket. When I was going home my feet burned. The wave was splashing on me when it was in the bucket. When I got home, I put the wave in my dogs cage. When it was my birthday I could not find it. It was in my pool waiting for everyone. Then everybody came with their bathing suits. I could not see the wave anymore! I did not care because they were going to stay late so I went to go get the fruit salad in the refrigerator. When I opened the refrigerator door the wave splashed on me. When my mom saw me she got mad at me. She thought I jumped in the pool. I had to go to my room, then she talked to me. My dad came in my room too. I could not go downstairs. I went downstairs later to have cake. When I was done my dad said go back upstairs. So I went. Everyone put the presents on the table and went home. I came downstairs again. Then my mom and dad said that they did not like it. I told them I had got a wave and I thought it would spray on everyone but it did not. I went to bed.

The next day I could not go outside. Wait I said to myself. Where's the wave? When I went upstairs I just left it by itself. I did not bear to look. I knew I was really going to get in trouble. I said OK. SO I went to play in the playroom. Guess what I saw? I saw the wave. I caught it! Then I put it in my dog's cage again and walked to the beach and let it go in the water. I said good bye but it did not respond. So I left. When I got home my mom said to clean the playroom. So I did. It took a long time to dry everything. It was dark before you even blinked. I went upstairs to go to bed. I was thinking about that wave and maybe it would come home with me again. I wonder? What if it destroys my house again? Who knows?
