The Wave
Noah Pierson
It was a hot summer day on the beach. I went there to play in the waves. The water was a cold as ice. The sand was smooth between my toes. It was very calm and quite. Then all of a sudden, the most gigantic wave that I've ever seen just came out of nowhere.
Then I saw the wave. I ran to the dumpster and got a jar to catch it. It was surprisingly easy. The wave just jumped right into the jar. I thought, "It must want to come home with me!" I tied it onto my bike and rode home. When I got home I put the wave in an old fish tank. The wave didn't do anything. It just lay there. I turned my back and heard a splash! I looked back and the wave wasn't in the fish tank anymore! I went up to my room and my bed was floating in the wave. I yelled, "Ahhhh!" I was so afraid that my mom was going to yell at me. I wanted to put it back into the jar. This time it was VERY hard! It was fighting so much that the jar broke! I had to run downstairs to get a bigger jar. I forced it into the bigger jar and took it back to the beach. When I got to the beach I put the wave back into the ocean. I was so happy because it was messing up my room. I'll never try to catch another wave again! As I was walking away I saw another boy catch the same wave I had. I looked at him and laughed!
