Haunted House

I was walking on the sidewalk when a cool misty smell ran up my nose. I looked up and there in front of me was a haunted house! The windows were cracked and bats were swooping up and down above it. I decided to go in. A hinge was missing on the door and the doorknob was hanging from a nail. I heard footsteps as I stepped inside. Quickly I turned around but found it was only a rat scampering across the dusty floor. I looked up and saw ancient paintings with paint chips falling off. Suddenly a terrifying screech came from up the stairs. I cautiously walked up the creaky stairs and slowly my eyes looked up. There in front of me was a bloodthirsty vampire with red rings around his eyes that said, "Have a happy Halloween."
