One cold dark night, as I was laying in my bed everything was very still I was having was a sleepover with my friends Phillip and Cole. We were the only people to have their lights glowing on the street. It was really late and everyone was asleep, even my parents. We were all laying down in my bedroom when all of a sudden the ground started to shake. Then, there was light everywhere. WOW!!

 

Phillip called out my name in a really loud voice..."CHRISTOPHER, CHRISTOPHER! Look out the window." We all ran over to look out when we started blasting off! We were all amazed and speechless. We didn't even think to call out for help! In less than three minutes my whole house was in space. It was remarkable. Cole saw an asteroid! It looked like it was coming towards us. "Get down," I screamed.

 

BAM, BANG, BOOM! The asteroid knocked the roof off of our house. We could see all of the stars and the moon. We all felt very lucky that no one was hurt. We went to check on my mom and dad but they were still asleep! We could not believe it. Were we all sharing the same dream?

We decided to run downstairs to the basement. We were afraid that pieces of the roof would come down and hit us. That's when we all saw the huge engine. At first we didn't know what it was but then I said "Maybe that's the cause of why we lifted off. But I was never told we had an engine down here."

 

Cole saw a blinking red light. We saw that the fuel was running really low. We all screamed that we wanted to go home but how were we going to get there? We didn't know anything about driving my house or how to turn around. It wasn't like there was a steering wheel to turn. I had an idea to push against one wall. We looked to see where Earth was and then we all pushed with all of our strength. Hey, it was working. It was turning in the direction of the Earth. We were heading home. It took us over an hour to get back.
