Autumn Is Here

As I listen to the leaves
crackling it almost sounds
like me when I am laughing.

As the leaves fall
five by five
I do not see any
more bee hives.

The trees are bare,
and the air gets colder.
The nights get longer
and the days get shorter.

The smell of pumpkin
spice is in the air.
Apple pies baking with
love and care.

The multi-colored leaves up high,
make a blanket of beauty in the sky.
Red, orange, yellow, green, gold,
a patchwork of fall colors never
get old.
