Did you know there are many interesting places to visit in China? First, let me tell you about the city of Shanghai. There is the Bund and it is divided into two sections the older section is called the Puxi and the newer section called Pudgong. It is also the largest city in China, with a population of 15 million people. The most famous site is the Bund. There is also the Yuyuan Garden with it’s zigzagging bridges. It was built 400 years ago during the Ming dynasty. It was built in tradition Chinese style with numerous rock and tree garden areas, ponds, dragons lined walls and numerous door ways. The garden also has century-old furniture, calligraphy, and paintings of famous artists, clay sculptures and brick carvings.

Another example of why traveling to China is fun is because you get to see Mt. Everest. It is the tallest mountain and it is seen 100 miles away, It reaches the Jet Stream where the air planes fly. 4,000 people attempted to climb the mountain. 660 people have been successful, 140 people lost there lives. The official height for Mt. Everest is 29,035 feet.

In addition to Mt. Everest and Shanghai you should also visit The Forbidden City. It is also know as the Palace Museum. It is located in the heart of Beijing. It was also home to 24 emperors from 1421-1911. There are 980 buildings and 8,707 rooms in the Forbidden City.
