Interesting Places to Visit in China

By Samantha

In China there are many places to visit. To begin with I will tell you about Hong Kong. In Hong Kong the people are very rich. Hong Kong is also known for large and beautiful buildings. And while you’re in Hong Kong you can visit Victoria Peak. Hong Kong’s Victoria Peck is just beautiful. You have a great view of the city from this high building.

Hong Kong’s Ocean Park is amazing. They have the third largest water park in the world. It ranked seventh in the world for most popular amusement park, and had 4.38 million visitors in 2006.

In China there are many mountains to visit. The Himalayan Mountains is the largest Mountain Range in the world. The Himalaya Mountains are part of the giant Mt. Everest. The official height for Mt. Everest is 29,035 feet high. Mt Everest is so tall that it reaches the Jet Stream! Scientist’s say that Mt. Everest is about 60 million years old! 660 people had made it to the top, but unfortunately, 140 people have lost there lives trying to get to the top.

The Great Wall of China is the largest wall I have ever seen! The Great Wall of China is about 2,000 years old. The Great Wall of China winds up and down across the desserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 4,163 miles from east to west to china. The thickness of the walls range from 15 to 30 feet and they are up to 25 feet tall. The Great Wall of China is the only object that you can see from space. Pieces of the great wall have fallen off. You can see that because there are holes in the walls. The Great Wall of China is originally built because the emperor of China didn’t want warriors on horses jumping over the wall and killing his people.

As you can see, China has lots of interesting places to visit like Hong Kong and Victoria Peak. You should also visit Mt. Everest. The highest mountain in the world, and the Great Wall of China, the only man made object seen from space! So whenever you want to go on a fun trip go to China!
