Whoosh, whoosh. I heard a sound as I was walking through the cornfield one sunny, autumn day. I saw a huge shadow. I was surprised to see six buttons scattered across the shadow's clothing. I detected a bowling ball shaped head. On top of his head was a red hat with the letters NY printed on the brim. His smiling mouth reminded me of the stitching on the side of a football. His eyes appeared as though they belonged to an old discarded puppet. There was straw poking out of him in all directions. He had several faded and old patches covering the holes in his worn out green shirt. I smiled to myself when I saw his funny mismatched pants. One leg had a stripe and the other one didn't. When I looked closer I noticed he had a curly pig like tail. This made me laugh even more. He was a friendly scarecrow!
