The Chinese Jade
Necklace
In the Chinese tradition, when a baby is born or when people get married, their parents will give their child some jewelry like a bracelet, necklace, or a ring made up of jade to wish them good luck. What did my mom get from her mom? It was a jade necklace. My mom wears it all the time. My mom told me that she will pass me the jade from her parents when I get married. Every jade is green, shaped like a lifesaver or a Buddhist. If my mom passes me her jade, I will wear it forever!
