The Abandoned House
by Anita

It was a dark stormy night. I heard a creaking door. There standing in front of me was an abandoned house. The windows were calling to me. My legs felt like spaghetti because I was so scared. As I opened the door, I shivered because I thought a shadow was following me. The air was damp and smelled musty. All of a sudden I turned around, but I didn't see anything. Without warning, I turned around again, but all that I saw was a piece of glass breaking off the window. The abandoned house had cobwebs all over. The next thing I knew, I saw a broken grandfather clock ticking out of the corner of my eyes. I walked closer to the clock, but when I got there the clock was gone! I was scared to death, but there was no way out. I knew I had to go forward!
