The Haunted Mansion

My friend and I were walking home from school when we spotted the haunted mansion. We opened the old rusty gate and went into the yard. I knocked on the door, "Boom!" the door fell. I went into the old house and heard scratching sounds running across the floor. As I went closer, I realized that it was a rat with fiery red eyes and razor sharp nails. I was petrified! As I continued walking I noticed an old staircase. The steps were falling apart because they were eaten by termites. I risked getting injured and ran up the old stairs.
All of a sudden my foot fell through. When I touched the railing to catch myself my hand landed on green goo. Eww, this is so disgusting. "I feel like puking," I said. I decided that it was time for me to leave the mansion. I ran home and never went back.
