The Seven Chairs
By Arjun

"John! Mary! Bella! Isabella! Cole! Bring your suitcases! We're going to grandpa Joe's!" shouted Brendan. Brendan was 10 years old and his mother was a widow. His brother, Cole, was 9. Cole ran in through the brown door, sprinted up the stairs, carried his black suitcase down, sat on the couch and started panting. Isabella, who was 8, did the same. Bella, her twin sister, repeated her. When everyone was ready including Mary, 7, John, 5, and William, 2, they got in the van and drove to grandpa Joe's. When they arrived there, their grandpa greeted them and gave them beautiful presents. Suddenly something terrible happened. Joe and mother got a disease! The ten-year-old boy called a doctor, and when the doctor came he sadly said, "This is no disease I know of. But I will try to cure them tomorrow at 12:00 A.M." With that, the doctor left. Joe called all the kids to him, except William (who was crying.) In a very, croaky voice he croaked, "I am a wizard and I have an enemy who has powers to make people sick. He lives on Mirls Street. His name is Arsian, and here are directions on how to get there. Here are 14 sandwiches for you to eat." Joe gave them the directions and fell asleep. Then the children set out for an adventure, (including William.) After a while they got tired so they sat down to rest. They saw five chairs. The  10-year-old, the five year old, the 9-year old, and the twins sat down on the brown chairs and all of a sudden they disappeared. The baby started crying at the sight of his brothers and sisters disappearing. Mary and William kept walking, (William was being carried) till they got sleepy. It was dark and they were hungry so they ate one and a half sandwiches. They did not manage to sleep peacefully on the hard ground but they got to sleep. When they woke up they had one and a half sandwiches. The 7-year-old found a piece of paper. It read, "Seven Mysterious Chairs." The 5th one ended up flying in the air with a person on it in France. She put the article down and picked up a blue rock. She threw it at a tree and the tree turned to ice! "We could use this against Arsian!" she thought. She put it in her pocket, picked up William, and started to slowly walk till she reached Joe's enemy's house. She found a hole in the wall and peeked in. She saw someone petting a dog. "That must be Arsian," thought Mary. She threw the pebble but hit the dog instead. Arsian saw the dog freeze and he held a red rock near him. "This rock burns things and I will burn you!" confidently yelled Arsian. The brave little girl picked up the blue pebble and both of them threw at the same time. They kept on throwing the red rock until it seemed like Mary would be burned. But William bit the wizard's leg and the wizard froze! They had defeated Joe's enemy! Suddenly all the other children appeared! They went back home and Joe and mother were cured! They celebrated and everyone grew up well. William and the other children kept on having to tell the story over and over again so they decided to each write a book about it in different versions and guess what? This book you are reading right now was written by William.
