I can't believe it happened again. The lights turned off but the electrician said that nothing was wrong. I went down stairs to the basement. The paint from when we were going to paint the basement caught my eye because we never used it. I tried to pull the switch. Suddenly, I heard thumping from the top step. In the distance I could smell an old smelly odor. I started to get goose bumps. I heard a weird noise, like a kind of different language. I thought it was just my next door neighbors up late. I walked around but it got louder. Now it sounded like two of them. It was just my imagination, I told myself. I walked around one more time. Now it was louder than ever. My heart was pounding. I was sure the doorknob turned. It was an Alien life form. I froze...I thought Aliens were just fake. He was wearing a glowing costume. I started to move closer to get outside and call 911 or my parents. My parents would never believe that. I was so scared that I was getting sick to my stomach. The Alien floated closer to me. I slid behind the box. The Alien was doing something strange. He put his hands on his head. I thought he was going to take off his head and throw it at me. Instead, he took off his mask and to my surprise it was my brother in his Halloween costume. I asked him why he did that. He said that he wanted to scare me. I told him that he scared me good! I need to get him back for that even better!
