Mr. Lucadomo is our instrument instructor at Pocantico. He teaches flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, tuba, trombone, and percussion. The reason why Pocantico's band members are so talented is all because of Mr. Lucadamo. He himself, is a professional trumpet player. It is guaranteed that whoever learns from him will go on to being a great musician. He teaches grades 4-8.

Instrumental Music/Band

Students are able to begin the study of a selected band instrument as early as 4^th grade. While the school owns some of the larger instruments, parents are expected to enter into a rental agreement or purchase instruments for their student’s use. Students receive individual and small group lessons each week and, beginning in Grade 5, start to participate in a band performance. Students in Grade 6 and then 7 and 8 develop into outstanding young musicians as a result of their instruction and home practice.
