Vocal and General Music
All students are instructed in an eclectic choral/general music program, which is designed to stimulate and excite the students, allowing them to develop a real joy of music. All students from Pre-K through Grade 5 go to music once a week where they sing, learn to understand and appreciate music, and eventually learn to read music. In addition, students in Grades 1 – 5 go to chorus, where they learn vocal technique and prepare for their Winter and Spring concerts. In Middle School, all students go to music class for part of the year in their rotational schedule. Students who wish to, may participate in Band as well. The Middle School Chorus also gives two concerts in school and performs special programs at other locations.
