Stone Barns Animals in the Fall

"Cock-a-doodle-doo! Cock-a-doodle-doo!" I heard as I strolled toward the chicken pen at Stone Barns. I caught sight of a huge, white rooster on the way up the hill. I couldn’t take my eyes off the bright red comb on top of its head. I took a deep breath and I smelled the scent of manure. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!" I said to myself. It was fun watching all the noisy farm birds, but they were very stinky!
