Stone Barns Animals in the Fall

On a chilly and sunny morning I took a nature walk along the path at the Stone Barns. I looked closely at the roses growing in the garden. The stem felt prickly. I took a deep breath and smelled a big round pumpkin. The smell reminded me of pumpkin pie. I felt the leaves on the tree. They felt so soft, they broke in my hands. Then I heard the black dog barking. It was so windy it made the trees move. I couldn’t help but notice the leaves were falling down so fast on the grass. We were enjoying our visit. Then it was time to get on the bus. We saw the pigs through the bus windows.
