Stone Barns Animals in the Fall

"Ruff, ruff!" I heard as I dashed toward the sheep pen at Stone Barns. In the distance, I spied a white fluffy critter just sitting on the muddy grass I stared for a minute and looked closely at all the wooly sheep and realized the other mammal was Stella the sheep dog. As she calmly sat there, I kept thinking she seemed as white as the fluffy clouds. I took a deep breath and smelled damp earth mixed with filthy, smelly manure.
