Woodpeckers have a sticky tongue to keep the bugs from escaping. There are at least 200 kinds of woodpeckers. A woodpecker might make a nest in a hole in a tree. Their claws are very sharp. Some woodpeckers put acorns in their holes. Some are masked in red, white and black. Some have a red breast and a black back. They peck holes in trees to find insects to eat.
