My state is Utah. Its location is in the western country. The neighboring states are: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, and Wyoming. Utah's climate is: July temp. 73° F , January temp. 25° F , Precipitation 12 in(30 cm). Utah's size in length is 345 miles and in width 275 miles. Its population is 1,461,037. Utah's capital is Salt Lake City. The cities are: Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden, Orem, Bountiful, Logan, and Murray.

The main land forms of Utah are Rivers: the Colorado River goes from east to south, the Fremont River goes from south to northwest, the Green River goes from southeast to northeast, the San Juan River goes from southwest to south, the Seveir River goes from south to north, the Bear River ghoes from south to north. The mountain ranges are the Unitax and Wasatch. The highest point is King Point at 13,528 feet. The lowest point is Beaver Dam Creek in Washington County at 2,000 ft.

Some facts on my state are, The nick name is the Beehive state because it rases beehives,The state motto is Industry,The state bird is the american sea gull, If you go to Utah you may see a lot of blue spruce, you may see the state flower the sego lily in peoples gardens , The state gem is topaz , You may hear people sining the state " Utah We Love Thee".

Some wonderful things happened in Utah, The first white people were spanish & french .In 1776 fur traders followed there tracks. the first settlement was made by Mormons in 1847 and in that same year the state seal was adopted .On January. 4, 1896 Utah became the 45^th state of are beautiful country.

Some places you might want to visit are the Utah State Fair that comes once a year and the beautiful International Peace Garden.  If you want to learn some history about Utah then you should go to the Museum of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. The only custom Utah has is a fair every year.
