Alaska

My truck and I drove through Washington State and Canada to get to Alaska. It was a very long ride! Alaska is sure a long way away! We saw an Emperor penguin raising its baby it was so cute! Next we saw a polar bear. We stopped in the state capital, Juneau where we ate fish. It was so good! We didn't see very many people. Alaska has such a hard climate that not many people want to live there. We were lucky enough to see the Iditarod, it is a very famous dog sled race. I even got to pet a huskie. Alaska is cu a big state and it is also dangerous. There were lots of people taking cruises around the Alaska Peninsula and up through the Bering Sea. We stopped at a big city called Anchorage and thought we might visit Mt. McKinley but the snow was too deep to get there. From there we drove to Nome. We could almost see Russia from there! Alaska is the most extremely cold state. I think I want to get a little warmer so I'm headed south to California.
