Iowa
by Rodney

I left Missouri and drove my truck north to Iowa. Did you know that Buffalo Bill was born here? There were farms everywhere I looked. There were pig farms, livestock grazing, corn growing and soybeans, too. It was a hot summer day but it gets very cold here in the winter. My first stop was in Des Moines, the state capital and Iowa's largest city. Des Moines sits on the Raccoon and Des Moines rivers. Iowa is also bordered on the west by the Missouri River and on the east by the Mississippi River. I drove east to Dubuque and on the way I stopped in Dyersville, Iowa to see the "The Field of Dreams."  I was glad I brought my ball and glove. Iowa was fun. I think I'll visit Wisconsin and have some cheese.
