I drove my truck west from Iowa and ran right into
Nebraska. Omaha, Nebraska's largest city, was my first stop. From there
I headed to the state capital in Lincoln. The state fair was in Lincoln
when I drove through. They were having a rodeo! From there I headed west
to get to Wyoming. I saw lots of corn growing on farms while I was
driving. I guess that's why Nebraska is called the
"cornhusker" state. I saw lots of cows too! I followed the
Oregon Trail along the Platte River just like travelers over a hundred
years ago. There were lots of big buildings where people packed meat, or
canned foods. Nebraska is sure an interesting state.
