I drove north from California to Oregon.
The Cascade Range divides the state so I headed up the Pacific coast. It
was such a beautiful drive. Everything was green and beautiful. My first
stop was Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake is the second deepest
lake in North America. Eugene, the state's second largest city was my
next stop. From there I drove north to Salem, the state's capital. There
is a statue called The Pioneer on the top of the capitol
building. I headed north to catch a Portland Trailblazers in
Portland. Then I drove over the Cascade range to visit Mount Hood. I
really enjoyed the mountain climbing. Everywhere I went I saw forests
and people cutting down trees. The trees are used to produce lumber and
paper. As I drove east I saw lots of ranches and cattle grazing.
