Mia Hamm

Mia Hamm is a famous American soccer player. She has scored more then 100 goals!

Mia was born in 1973. She lived all over the world because her father was in the military. Mia's brother Garret introduced her to soccer. She started playing soccer at age 5. At 15 she became the youngest player ever to play for U.S. National Team. She was ACC Player of the Year three times. She was National Player of the Year three times. Mia's brother passed away in 1997, but she did not stop playing soccer. Her mother and father always wanted her to have fun playing soccer.

Mia is practicing 6 times a week for the Women's World Cup Games this summer in 1999.
