mom stayed close. For four years Chamique played for Christ the King High

the University of Tennessee. She knew if she was going to get better she would
have to work even harder. She played basketball every day, sometimes until 1.am.
She learned new moves, competed against guys and usually drew a crowd of people,
especially children, who wanted to see her as a hero. She went perfect once with
39-0 record. She was the player of the year. She is admired in Knoxville,
Tennessee (University of Tennessee).
She became a professional basketball player after collage. She was Rookie of the Year. She plays forward on the Mystics basketball team. She was the member of the gold medal winning team.
