Beyonce
is a very talented singer and has a very interesting life. Beyonce Knowles was
born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Her birth name is Beyonce Giselle
Knowles. She was born into a family with two siblings. Her success
began when she was 7 years old and singing in the church choir. She and
her friend formed a group that sang in backyards and her mom's beauty parlor.
The group performed in local events but they got their big break on Star Search. She was inspired by the "Jackson 5" and "The
Supremes." When Beyonce got older she and three other people started a hip-hop
group called "Destiny's Child." She was the lead singer of the group
and wrote
lyrics for all of their songs. The group had many hits and won two Grammy Awards
in 2001, five Grammy's in 2004 and another in 2006. Through the years 2002-2006 she
concentrated on her solo career. People have helped
with her music like Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Sean Paul and legendary Luther Vandros.
Not only is Beyonce a singer she is an actress too. She was one of
the stars in the movie, Austin Powers in Goldmember. Beyonce recently
starred in The Pink Panther and the soon to be released Dreamgirls.
She is also the spokesperson for L’Oreal Cosmetics. Beyonce is continuing her
career which is acting and singing.
