Dee Myers

For almost 2 years Dee Myers was the face of the White House. She was born September 1, 1961 in Providence, Rhode Island. She graduated from William S. Hart High School in California and Santa Clara University in 1983.
Ms. Myers has worked in politics for many years. She was press secretary for several political candidates during their campaigns for office including Dianne Feinstein. She joined Bill Clinton's campaign in 1991 and then became the White House Press Secretary for President Bill Clinton. Dee Dee then went to work as a consultant for the TV show about live in the White House, The West Wing. She later became a political commentator on MSNBC. Today she lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two children and is a Contributing Editor to Vanity Fair magazine and book author.
Dee Dee Myers is the author of three books. They are In The Belly of the Beast, Handicapping the Field and a new one Why Women Should Rule The World! In her latest book she argues, "Women tend to be better communicators, better listeners, better at forming consensus." Mrs. Hongell, my computer teacher, actually read the book. She said, "I loved this book. Dee Dee Myers made me laugh; it was wonderful! I liked it so much I have already given it as a gift to my daughter and several of my friends."
Did you know that Dee Dee Myers was the first woman and the second youngest person to ever serve as the White House Press Secretary?
