Jacqueline Lee
Bouvier Kennedy Onasiss was born on July 28, 1929. She was the wife of President
John F. Kennedy. She was born in Southampton, New York. She was the daughter of
John Vernon Bouvier III and his wife Janet Lee. Her early years were spent in
New York City and East Hampton Long Island. She had a lot of pets when she was
young, a lot of dogs and ponies. She loved to write poems and stories when she
was 10 through 18. She was named the Debutante of the Year in 1947. She spent
her junior year in France before graduating from George Washington University.
In Washington she got a job as a photographer for a newspaper. She married John
F Kennedy in 1953. Caroline, their first child was born in 1957. John Jr. was
born in 1960. When John became President in 1961 she made the first televised
film tour of the White House. When John got assassinated in 1963 her courage won
her the love of the world. In 1968 she got married again to Aristotle Onassis a
Greek millionaire. When he died in 1975 she worked for published as a book
editor until her death in 1994.
