Carla Overbeck

Carla Overbeck was born on May 9, 1968. Carla grew up in Dallas, Texas. Her hero was famous Dallas Cowboy quarterback, Roger Staubach. When she was little she was so small that her dad called her "termite." Carla is the Captain of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team. She helped her team to a second Gold Medal in the World Cup in 1999. Carla is a defender on the US team and plays defense. She has played in so many national games she is nicknamed the "ironwoman of soccer."  

On August 14, 1997 Carla had a baby boy, Jackson. She took some time off from soccer when he was born but she is back to the game she loves and Jackson has a team full of loving babysitters to help out.
