Barbara Park grew up in Mount Holly, New Jersey. She graduated from the
University of Alabama in 1969. Barbara is married and lives in Arizona. She has
a golden retriever named Gracie, and two sons, Steven and David and they are now
both out of college. Barbara Parks is the author of the Junie B. Jones series of
children's books. Some of our favorite books by Barbara Park are: Junie B.
Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus, Junie B. Jones is a Party Animal,
and Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business.
Barbara Park also just makes up her ideas! Barbara likes writing her books very much! It takes a couple of months to write a book, and sometimes two years (so don't go thinking that it's really easy to write one!!)
Her favorite book is "Mick Harte Was Here."
