Tomlin was born on September 1, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan. She has a little
brother named Richard. Her parents are Lillian Mae Ford and Guy Tomlin. When she
was in high school she was a cheerleader. At Wayne State she auditioned for her
first play and got the part of the madwoman of Charllot. She left school in her
third year of college. She was in another play called The Sandbox. She went to
New York in 1960. She is famous for starring in a TV show called Laugh-In.
She was on the show for 4 years. She won a Tony Award for her Broadway solo Appearing
Nitely in 1977. She appeared in the X-Files, The Incredible
Shrinking Woman, All of Me, and Woody Allen's Shadows and Fog.
Edith Ann was one of her most famous characters. Edith is sitting in the rocking
chair at the left. She has provided us with funny and enjoyable shows. What will
