Karrie Webb

Karrie Webb is a famous woman golfer. But we guess you already know that if you looked at the pictures on our page. She was born on December 21, 1974 in Ayr in Queensland, Australia. Karrie started playing golf when she was eight. Karrie turned pro in October 1994 when she was just 20 years old. In her rookie year with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (1996) she won four tournaments! She became the first rookie golfer to win $1 million in a single season. She was named LPGA Rolex Rookie of the Year. In 2000 the Golf Writers Association of America awarded Karrie the Golf Player of the Year. Karrie Webb carried the Olympic Torch in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. She is one of the best women golfers in the world! It was a lot of fun learning about Karrie Webb! We would love to meet her some day!!
